Where I’ve Been

Formal Day at Horizon

Formal Day at Horizon

For those of you are curious as to where I have been and how I ended up at YFC, here is the gist of it.  Directly after graduating high school I attended the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon.  While at the U of S I was invited to check out YFCHL.  This was a decision that has greatly impacted my life and my faith.  It did not take me long to figure out that I did not belong at the U of S.  I felt called to attend Bible college and learn  more about who God is and what His Word says about Him.  I attended a Bible college north of Saskatoon for a year.  I then settled in at Horizon College and Seminary in Saskatoon.

I chose Horizon because I would still have the opportunity to volunteer with YFCHL and continue to develop the relationships that have been started.  Through my three years at Horizon I have learned a great amount and grown so much as an individual.

There is a point in your life where you need to put into action of this head knowledge that you’ve gained.   Wisdom and knowledge that isn’t shared with others is useless.  So, even though there is still so much for me to learn,  it’s time for me to put to work what I’ve learned.

“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

- Ephesians 2:10
