Skateboarders experience Jesus in California
““Heading to California on Calbreak was a game-changer. Hearing about Jesus felt like finding my way out of a dark place into the light, and the staff were so supportive. Meeting other skaters and hitting up dream skateparks was an absolute blast.””
That is a quote from one of the skateboarders that we brought to California last year. As we gear up for another exciting adventure with California Breakaway (Calbreak), I would love to share with you an opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of even more skaters just like Josh.
Calbreak is more than just a high school trip over Easter Break; it's an unforgettable experience that opens doors to new friendships, exhilarating adventures, and the chance to connect with Jesus in new and unexpected ways.
Last year we partnered up Calbreak with our skateboard ministry: Antioch. We were able to bring four skaters from the Antioch community on the trip, lead by the Antioch Director Ryan Davidson.
Those four skaters were part of the bigger Calbreak group, but they were also able to have some life changing experiences as a small group.
Witnessing God move in the lives of these skaters was nothing short of incredible. From breaking down walls to discovering a deeper purpose, Calbreak led to profound moments.
Ryan spent many late nights having heart-to-heart chats with these kids, praying with them and encouraging them.

Now, we're excited to extend this opportunity to even more skaters in the Antioch community. However, we face financial challenges in making this dream a reality for these kids.
Most of these skaters do not have the means to fully cover the cost of the trip, despite additional efforts to fundraise through bottle drives and other initiatives.
