Huskie Game!

On October 26th, 2019, we were blessed with the opportunity to attend the University of Saskatchewan Huskie’s Football game. The game was against the University of Alberta Bears. This game had great value as both the U of S and U of A were tied for 2nd place. The winner of this game was going to receive home-field advantage for playoffs. It was such a cool experience to be able to take 17 kids to watch high-level football for free!! Even though the day was a very chilly one, the kids really enjoyed the experience. We braved the cold for the first half of the game. Unfortunately, some of the kids were getting pretty cold so we had to leave. The kids still wanting to hang out so we took them back to the building for hot chocolate and snacks. We played videogames, poker, and hangout. Overall it was a great day of connecting with the kids and investing in their lives. Huge shoutout to Nicole and the Huskie Athletics for getting us these tickets! It was such a huge blessing to our kids! It is so great to see others get behind what we are doing in the lives of these kids. Often we can feel like we are doing this alone so it is great to have other people believe and support these kids!
