To Love is to Serve

PROJECT SERVE (PS) remains one of YFC's most important initiatives.  Not only does PS expose students to a different country and culture, but it opens their eyes to the realities of human suffering, and provides a window into the role the global church plays in social justice and restoration.

This past February we took 10 students to Belize and continued our partnership with YWAM Belize and the King's Children's Home (KCH).  The home is striving to become more self-sustaining, and we have been part of various infrastructure projects over the years.  This year our main job was installing fencing in various key locations.  The farm at the home is growing, with more animals than ever before.  Fencing helps protect the animals, the children, and the structures from damage.  This is an extremely important project.  We also helped refurbish the basketball court which our previous team built in 2014.  It was challenging work, but the team came together and got it done.

Our time of debrief in Calgary was powerful, and God revealed Himself in very real ways.  Two of our students committed their lives to Jesus for the first time! We praise God for His faithfulness.  Please pray for our students as they get back to their normal schedules and routines.  Pray that the things God taught them in Belize would continue to resonate as they are back home.
