Summer Ministry Days
Summer was full of rich experiences and amazing ministry opportunities. You already know about our Calbreak booth at the Saskatoon Ex, and while that was a big part of my summer, there were other highlights as well.
I was able to spend some quality time with youth in many different locations and contexts. There was memorable times at the lake, as well as various camps, time spent going for a Popeye’s chicken run, or taking an afternoon to get in a round of golf. There was also opportunity to have some of the guys over to my place for movie night, giving me a chance to do some cooking for a hungry crowd!
As well, this summer YFC continued it’s partnership with Camp Kadesh, Redberry Bible Camp, Lakeview Church and Forest Grove Church to run a weekly program called The Connection. This program is designed to keep kids connected throughout the summer, especially those that were part of a summer camp experience. Many kids encounter Jesus in a very real way during their time at camp, and it’s super important for these youth to stay connected to camp friends and staff, and have an opportunity to continue growing in their spiritual journey. YFC hosted two of these weekly events, and I had the privilege of speaking at one of those nights. I encouraged the students to continue the process of life transformation by allowing Jesus to put His fingerprints on their lives
