PS09 BELIZE
In February 0f 2010 the Belize team is embarking on an awesome adventure. The country of Belize is not only beautiful, but is filled with amazing people with a zest for life.
Our team will be staying at the Youth With A Mission (YWAM) base located 5 miles from the capital city of Belmopan. YWAM is an international bible school focused primarily on missions. YWAM Belize loves to host short term mission teams, and has developed a particular fondness for Canadians. They are very excited to host our team in February, and have arranged many exciting ministry opportunities for us.
This year our primary project will be the construction of a house for a young missionary family serving with YWAM Belize. This family has an incredible ministry with YWAM, and are committed to stay in Belize and reach out to the many Belizian youth who are hurting and lost. They have a growing family, and we are excited to help provide for them a much needed home of their own. We will also spend some time serving at the King's Children's Home in Belmopan, which is an orphanage that houses approximately 65 kids. This orphanage is often understaffed and in great need of help, and our team will supply some supplies and encouragement for the beautiful kids who live there.
